Trumpet students at Rhodes School of Music focus on embouchure, mouthpiece placement, breathing, and posture to begin their studies with a solid foundation. As players advance in breath control and tone production, they will learn the fundamentals of music and musicianship including scales, arpeggios, intonation, phrasing, and other instrument-specific techniques. Private trumpet lessons are an excellent supplement to school bands, orchestras, and ensembles and the advanced student will study orchestral excerpts and solo works! Your teacher will address practice strategies, issues of endurance, intonation, and give every student tools for analysis and interpretation.
