Elias Williamson

PIANO


Elias Quinn Williamson is a Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator.


Elias grew up in Denver, where they began studying drums at age 4, piano at age 7, and guitar at age 9. They studied percussion and jazz drum set at Denver School of the Arts and began touring professionally by the age of 16.


Elias graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa with honors from Lewis & Clark College with degrees in math and music composition in 2021. There, they studied drums with Charlie Doggett and Alan Jones, piano with Randy Porter, and guitar with Julia Banzi. They were twice the featured composer at the annual James W Rogers concert and a finalist for the college’s Rena J Ratte award on account of their thesis on the microtonal music of Ben Johnston.


Elias has toured across 15+ countries and 30+ states in bands such as Babehoven, Mope Grooves, Dark Tea, Canary Room, Layperson, Palm Sunday, and Ancient Pools. Their music has been written about on Pitchfork, Stereogum, and NPR Music among others and featured in TV shows such as Emily In Paris.


Elias has been teaching full time since graduating college and prides themself in their ability to cater to students’ personal goals while focusing on fundamentals. They specialize in building a solid foundation of music theory and rhythmic literacy and believe in developing well-rounded musicians who love what they do.



Since moving to LA in 2022, Elias has maintained a busy schedule of session work, gigging, and teaching. They can be seen playing alongside Harmony Index, Micah Preite, Franky Fox, Emelia Austin, and with their own project Scone.
