Jake Sucher
GUITAR
Jake Sucher is a Los Angeles based musician and educator. He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts Herb Albert School of Music on May 16th, 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies. He currently does work as a free-lance film composer, private music teacher, and performing musician. As a composer and performer, Jake has received many honors. His compositions for film have been featured two years in a row at the CalArts film showcase at REDCAT in downtown Los Angeles. In the summer 2015 Jake was invited to participate in an art residency at No Lugar Contemporary Art in Quito, Ecuador where he collaborated with artists from around the world and premiered original sound design. As a performer, Jake has had the opportunity to record his own composition for jazz quartet at Capitol Records for the 2014 CalArts Jazz CD. He also tours and performs regularly around Los Angeles.

Jake's first job, as a sophomore in high school, was teaching piano and guitar to the neighborhood kids. Today Jake has worked on the faculty of various educational organizations including West Coast Music Academy, Valencia Seoul Music, the Academy of Technology Art and Music, and Gand Camp Music Tech and still maintains a private studio of students.
