Marina Pacowski

PIANO

She is a classically trained pianist and has been playing all over the world. She is also a passionate and devoted teacher with 20 years of experience and holds a Masters in Music.

Marina is an accomplished pianist accompanist, sight reader. She transposes and reduces scores fluently. She has a Master in this specific field as well as first prize in Analysis and Harmony. She has performed and has given Master Class in many formations and countries as the US, Mexico, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, and of course, in France). She has specialized in Double Bass repertory (and instrument she fell in love for as a teenager) as she was an accompanist for 20 years at the former festival “International Double Bass festival” in Capbreton/France. She performed with world-renowned double bass players such as Thierry Barbé, Catalin Rotaru, Wolgang Güttler, Giuseppe Ettorre, Alberto Boccini, Petrù Iuga, Dan Styffe, Barry Green.... She also embraces and loves accompanying all instruments repertory from Strings to Woods and Brass.

As a soloist, she also inspires composers and counts several collaborations with them. Among others, French-Basc Composer composer Peio Çabalette composed for her the Concerto « Black Sun » It was performed in 2015 under the direction of Maestro Iker Sanchez and received acclaim from the critic. The french composer Bernard Salles also composed for her « Four portraits for Marina P ».

Marina is very thrilled to start teaching at the Rhodes Music School and looks forward to meeting new students as well as the school's great artistic team!
